We were heading for a swim in Katherine, and this particular day I felt to bring my laptop with me in the car.
It was an unusual urge, after all, surely there wouldn’t be much opportunity for me to work on the laptop there? Despite my internal objections, I obeyed the prompting in my heart and brought the laptop. However, as expected, I ended up with no opportunity to use it.
The next day, we were at the local library, bringing along the kids ipads to do some school work. However, to our frustration, we discovered that one of the ipads had a fully flat battery. It had been one of those afternoons where thing after thing had gone wrong. I went back to the car to get something, praying on the way for a reset, for a change to our frustrating environment.
Just then I remembered the laptop I had put in the car yesterday, realising that it could compensate for the missing ipad, allowing all the kids to do their homework.
So in other words, a full 24 hours before the frustrating incident of the flat battery, God had already provided the answer. It is so important to obey Him, and allow Him to guide our steps each day. And as we do, we will see His master hand at work, bringing it all together according to His plan.
