Update from Gisborne, New Zealand

Dear friends,

I am writing to you from Gisborne, New Zealand, where my wife Sarah has just spoken at a beautiful women’s breakfast with around 40 people attending. Since arriving in New Zealand almost 3 weeks ago, we have had 8 meetings, lots of new people to meet and lots of travel!

Here are a few highlights of the journey so far:

In one city, a lady heard of our visit with only 9 days notice. She contacted her pastor, and his response was a firm no! Later that evening, she and her friends gathered for a prayer meeting, praying about the situation. The next day the pastor contacted her, saying he not only would have us, but would spread the word to other pastors in town. Around 50 people, including four pastors ended up attending the meeting. While our angle on Israel certainly was new for many of them, it was such a blessing to be able to share.

I was in touch with a youth leader who had never previously heard of our ministry. As she read a brief description of our ministry, it strongly touched her heart and she just knew it would be just right for her group. She then passed on the information to several other youth groups in her area, and they all agreed to host us for a combined youth event!
It is exciting to see God go before us and open up doors!

In another city, a church at the very last minute asked us back for a second meeting, and at that meeting many people were touched who had significant trust issues. One woman for example was dealing with the hurt and betrayal after her husband had left her for another woman. Even though it now had been a few years, she still bore the scars. Sarah spent a long time praying and ministering to her, and by the end of it, the lady looked visibly better.

It is a real blessing to be ministering here in NZ. We have another 14 meetings to go over the coming weeks until we return to Australia on Dec. 17th.

Thank you again for your prayers and your support as we travel.

Blessings,

Enoch, Sarah, David, Hannah and Olive Lavender
