Isaiah 58 speaks of not seeking one’s own pleasure on the Sabbath day. Jewish tradition interprets this to mean that one should not pray for one’s own needs on the Sabbath day

(after all, most of us pray about our needs every other day of the week!).
Instead, the Sabbath should be a time to honour and thank God for all He has done and all He has given in our lives.
WIll you join me in giving God a break this Sabbath and simply spending time thanking Him?
